INGREDIENT: maple syrup
cinnamon maple cereal crumb muffins Guest post from Carissa of Pretty/Hungry I recently came to a point where the budgeter in me just couldn’t bear to throw away any more cereal crumbs! Week after week, I’d find myself at the bottom of another box of cereal with a good two inches of dust left over, and it bothered me to just toss all that in the garbage can. Now I realize that in the grand scheme of things, throwing away a few cereal crumbs is FAR from earth-shattering. But I just knew there must be some way to make good use of all that crunchy whole-grain goodness rather than just tossing it.
Guest post from Michelle of The Willing Cook Christmastime can affect all of our senses; the smells and tastes of baking cookies, the twinkling of simple white or brightly colored lights, the warmth of a glowing fire. Guest post from Brigette Shevy I’ve tried – and liked – many different granola recipes over the years, but this is my go-to recipe every single Christmas. Packaged with a Christmas bow and cutesy label, it makes a perfect homemade gift for teachers, neighbors and friends. The October issue featured some marvelous quick bread recipes… Read More
Guest post from Brigette Shevy Just when you thought apple pie couldn’t get any better… it does! Not only does this pie look impressive, it tastes amazing, too. This twist on the classic apple pie is probably my very favorite apple pie of all time. And no, it’s not even close to low-fat, but let me assure you that it’s worth every blissful calorie! One taste of the caramelized pecan-studded crust, and you may never be able to settle for regular apple pie again.
There is very little introduction that I need to do for today’s pumpkin recipe, except one. “Oh my!” Cooking gluten-free, particularly if you have to substitute other allergens, can be a lot of trial and error. But once you have some base recipes that work time and time again, you have a good hold on gf baking. I have finally reached that point. Yay! And you can too!
