Slow Day: Week 6

Welcome to my weekly Slow Day post, inspired by Monica from . My Word for 2018 is Slow and, in the spirit of that word, I’m taking one day each week (Wednesday) off — I’ll be unplugged and offline and plan to move at a slower pace, take time to do things that refresh me, and just really focus on being present and savoring the moment.

Each Saturday, I’ll be sharing a photographic peek into my Slow Day — and I’ll let the pictures almost 100% speak for themselves, instead of giving many explanations. Enjoy a little peek into our lives!

In the middle of Kaitlynn getting ready for school (she leaves for school before the other two kids since her school starts earlier and she likes to get there 20-25 minutes early), the electricity went out and was out for an hour.

I had to wait to run on the treadmill until after the electricity came back on. Gratefully, I was able to get in my run before I needed to leave for Discipleship Group.

My time at Discipleship Group every Wednesday is one of my favorite times every week.

I came home and made eggs for lunch and read for awhile until it was time to pick the kids up from school.

    What on earth did you do to your eggs?

      I forgot to put the butter in before I cracked them in the pan… so yeah, putting it on top didn’t work so well. They turned out sort of fried. But they tasted good — and I made extra for Jesse and the kids (they LOVE eggs!)

    It’s a private Christian Classical school. It’s our first time to have a child in a school with strict uniforms! 🙂

    I have been trying to figure out for the past week how you made your eggs. I have never seen fried eggs turn out like that. They look so good. I’m pregnant and have to eat protein in the morning so I don’t feel nauseous during the day. Can you tell me what that is called?
