I do not have one but my sister does. We used it once to make a pork roast for pulled pork. Is was super easy. She said she can put frozen meat in it and it cooks really fast. She loves hers.

  • Donna says:

Get it! Such a time saver for my family! The only way I cook potatoes, refried beans, eggs, whole chicken, the list goes on. You certainly won’t be sorry! So much faster and nutritious!

I use mine almost every day and often more than once a day. There is a definite learning curve, since you have to do some research at the onset to learn which modes/lengths of times/ liquid amounts to use if you are unfamiliar with pressure cookers, but these are a godsend if you need to rush a crock pot type meal into an hour of cooking or want to steam your eggs instead of boil them (the peels come right off!), or even want to cook beans from dry in about an hour. I have found this to be a really useful kitchen appliance.

This, especially the learning curve. But there are some great Facebook groups out there and just googling your questions. I have coconut milk yogurt in the works right now in my IP! And used it earlier today to cook chicken to shred for meals. Also, I LOVE making roast/potatoes/carrots — about 65 min and it’s perfection!!

I use mine every single day. Even making yogurt at home is super easy with instant pot.

I primarily use it for my Indian cooking and it’s well worth the time and money. I work full time and I also cook lunch in the mornings. It saves a lot of time in the morning and my meals come out yummy.

It also has slow cooker option. As soon as i bought it last year, I got rid of my slow cooker. It’s all-in-one cooker i should say.

I even wrote a post about instantpot and its pros and cons in my blog.

I also share easy instantpot recipes in the blog as well. For example, this week I made chickpea pasta soup and it came out really yummy that even my dad, who is not fond of soups, LOVED it.

Inquiring minds want to know – did you get it? 🙂

Would you, please, let us know if this goes on sale again? Also, I’d be really interested in the 8 quart and if it goes on sale.
Thank you! Your post and the comments made me think this might be really helpful to me.
We are a family of 9. Does anyone know if the 6 quart would be sufficient or should I look for the 8 quart? I don’t know serving sizes for the quart measurements.
    Thank you!
