    These look awesome! I have a little guys with dairy, egg and nut allergies, so although I have wanted to try freezer and crockpot meal recipes, I usually can’t because they usually include milk or cheese. These are very doable, and I think it is genius to freeze ahead. Thanks for sharing!

    If i go to work at 7 in the morning, can I leave the freezer meals in the crock pot all day unattended? I’ve had a crock pot for several years but I’ve never used it once- I’m scared!

      Megan – put the meal in frozen on low and add some extra water and it should be ok.

      Yes, should be ok on low, but if you are worried try it on a day you are home so you can keep an eye on it and know it is ok

      Absolutely! That’s the best part about the crockpot – it does all of the work for you and you don’t have to be there. 🙂

      a crockpot is what a winter is all about! Going to work when its dark & coming home when its dark…who wants to think about cooking…put everything into your crockpot in the morning & voila…by the time you come home the house smells great & all you need to do is pull out a bowl! Happy Eating!

    I’m new at this so I had a quick question. When you say ‘ground beef’ in a recipe is it usually cooked before freezing in the bag? Are any of the meats cooked first? Or do we just throw them in raw with the other ingredients? If we need to cook them, it should say it. That’s not a given for some of us.

      I add the ground meat raw, Joanna. I don’t think any of the recipes require cooking ahead of time, but if they do it will be listed on the printable recipe. Hope that clears things up.

    Ahh I went and purchased all the ingredients to make the beef and lime chili and the BBQ chicken and now when I went to pull the directions it says the server is down!

    When you freeze the majority of these how long are they usually good for? I am a major newbie in the kitchen and just moving into my own place and would love to try some of these, I’m just not sure how long they will keep when I make double batches? Thanks!

    i am intrested in doing these freezer meals as i dont have time to cook as work allday, do you cook the chicken or meat first or is that what the slow cooker does. First time using a slow cooker. How long can you keep these meals in the freezer.

    I have made some of these and they make my life so easy!!!! The recipes that don’t have vegetables come out really good. The ones with vegetables like the chicken teriyaki, the meat is good, but, the veggies are mush and loose their color. I am cooking on low. I was considering adding the vegetables later in the process. Do you have a suggestion?

      Yes, definitely! You can add the veggies the last 30 minutes of cooking. We like how they cook down and absorb the sauce in the meal, but mush is no good. Adding at the end is a perfect solution if you prefer your veggies al dente or you’re out of the house for a very long time.
