In addition to this, the code.org website offers great tools for beginning computer programmers. I was able to create an account as a homeschool teacher and sign up two of my children so I can save & track their progress. We’ve used their site before and downloaded the Scratch programming software, but it’s really helpful for me & my kids to have a little more structure in the tutorials. The first “hour of code” requires you to read (or have someone read to you) and know left and right. That’s it.
