I love all these preschool packs that you post and would like to use them for my daughter. My question is is there a way to cut down on printer ink when printing them out? My printer (a Lexmark 5650es) goes through ink like crazy and the ink is expensive. I’m trying to decide whether to buy a new printer or keep trying to find a source for cheaper ink. Any suggestions???

A laser printer, black and white, printed in grey scale is usually very inexpensive per page. But they are also a fairly pricey initial investment. 🙁

Crystal, I buy my ink now from 1ink.com and I can finally print things for my daughter without it costing a fortune. It is very reasonable. I hope you check it out and it helps:)

You can also print them more than one page at a time for items like the puzzles.

I am having trouble downloading these. If I click the link, it takes me to a page where I don’t see printables. If I right-click and “Save Link As” (which I’ve done in the past), it saves .php files. I use a Mac. Does that make any difference and can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Also, TO MELISSA, Lexmark is notorious for their high ink prices. If you’re not already, you can refill yourself, but if I were you, I would definitely upgrade my printer ASAP. When we did our research for a new printer a few years ago, HP had an inkjet that was almost tied for cost-per-page as a Brother laser, and it was much cheaper (if you don’t need a laser for something else).

Thanks for the input, Sarah. Want to let us know the model of the printer you got? I’d be interested to know!

      • Sarah says:

Because my husband really wanted a laser, we went with the Brother. I don’t remember the model of the HP, but it was 5 years ago, so would be out of date by now.

If it is taking you to the home page then you need to update your Adobe. Read over the help section on the website. Also Adobe did just do an update recently for the Adobe Reader.
